Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April, 2025 — Sailaja Josyula (She / Her) has been appointed as the Global Head of the Global Capability Center (GCC) division at Cognizant. Based in Hyderabad, she will lead the company’s global GCC strategy, focusing on seamless execution, innovation, and value-driven solutions for clients. In this role, she will be responsible for establishing and leading a cross-functional team to help clients build and scale next-generation GCCs.
Prior to this, Sailaja served as Principal / Partner – Head of Managed Services Delivery at EY, where she oversaw strategic service delivery and transformation. She returns to Cognizant following a successful earlier tenure in leadership positions, including SVP and Global Head of BFSI Operations, Head – NA Commercial BFSI Operations, and Center Head – Hyderabad, where she played a key role in scaling operational excellence and client engagement.
Sailaja’s earlier leadership roles at Thomson Reuters as Head of Transformation and Site Head – Hyderabad Operations Centre, and at HSBC where she served in various global leadership capacities such as Global Head of Payment Operations (EVP), contributed significantly to her depth of expertise in financial services, transformation, and operations management.
Beginning her career as an engineer at Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, she has steadily risen through the ranks over nearly three decades. A Six Sigma Black Belt and a fellow of the International Women’s Leadership Forum, she is a champion of inclusive leadership and operational transformation. Her return marks a strategic move for Cognizant as it strengthens its GCC growth roadmap globally.
