New Delhi, Delhi, India, April 2025 — Bharat Kaushal has been elevated to the role of Executive Chairman of Hitachi India, further reinforcing the company’s strategic focus on leadership excellence and localization. In addition to this prestigious elevation, he has also been appointed Corporate Officer in charge of regional strategies (India) at Hitachi Ltd., expanding his influence to the global headquarters level in driving the group’s India-focused vision.
Until this appointment, Bharat Kaushal served as Managing Director of Hitachi India and Corporate Officer at Hitachi Ltd., where he played a vital role in driving the company’s India business across critical sectors. He will now also take on additional responsibilities as Acting Managing Director, demonstrating continued leadership continuity during this transition.
Notably, in FY17, Bharat became the first Indian Managing Director of Hitachi India, a landmark that represented the organization’s deepened commitment to localization and building strong leadership capabilities within the country. His elevation reflects Hitachi’s long-term strategic outlook and its alignment with India’s rapidly evolving development landscape.
