Aruna Wijerathne has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at AKH ECO Apparels Ltd., Bangladesh.

Aruna Wijerathne brings over two decades of extensive experience in human resources and administration, having held leadership positions across multiple renowned organizations. Prior to joining the AKH Group, Wijerathne served as the Head of Human Resources and Administration at MAS Arya Indonesia, where she played a critical role in overseeing HR strategies and operations from August 2022 to January 2024. Her tenure at MAS Intimates – Bangladesh, from January 2019 to August 2022, further exemplified her expertise in enhancing human resource functions and fostering a culture of inclusivity and productivity.
Wijerathne’s career is distinguished by her strategic approach to HR management, focusing on developing employee-centric workplaces that support sustainable business practices. Her leadership at MAS Intimates and MAS Arya Indonesia showcased her ability to drive HR initiatives that align with corporate goals, improve employee engagement, and ensure compliance with international labor standards.
