The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Peterson as Chief People and Culture Officer on 18th March.
Peterson, returning to the organization with a rich 23-year background in the nonprofit realm, is tasked with advancing talent acquisition, fostering career development, promoting inclusivity, and leading the Human Resources team towards realizing a hunger-free Oklahoma.
Stacy Dykstra, the Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Food Bank, expressed her enthusiasm about Peterson’s return, stating, “We are excited to welcome Chris back to the Regional Food Bank. With over 23 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge that will be beneficial as we work toward our vision of an Oklahoma where no one goes hungry.”
Before this new role, Peterson made significant contributions to the Regional Food Bank as the Senior Director of Human Resources. His journey also includes a pivotal role at Southern Nazarene University, where he has made his mark as the Associate Vice President of Financial Services since 2020. Peterson’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to excel in his new position.
Peterson shared his excitement about rejoining the Regional Food Bank team, remarking, “I am very excited to be able to link arms once again with the passionate employees at the Regional Food Bank. I look forward to partnering with the officer team and serving the Regional Food Bank’s employees with excellence as we continue to create a workplace culture sought after by employees across the Oklahoma City metro.”
