With over two decades of leadership experience across iconic consumer brands, Amit’s appointment comes at a strategic inflection point for Wooden Street as it seeks to accelerate growth, expand reach, and deepen customer engagement across India.
Prior to joining Wooden Street, Amit served as Chief Business Officer at Neeman’s, where he spearheaded full P&L operations and drove agile, customer-focused business expansion. Before that, he played a transformative role at Duroflex as Business Head – D2C & Growth, where he scaled the vertical from scratch to ₹100 crore in annual revenue, leveraging an omni-channel strategy across e-commerce, modern trade, and retail outlets.
Amit’s experience also spans key leadership roles at Bombay Dyeing, where he led E-Commerce and Modern Trade, and Ola, where he was Vice President – Marketing, overseeing online and offline brand initiatives. His earlier tenures at Essar Hypermart as Head of Consumer Business and Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd as Marketing Manager further solidified his credentials in consumer marketing and business development.
He has also worked with The Walt Disney Company and Disney Consumer Products, where he led national retail strategies and helped the brand achieve market leadership in India. Amit began his career with the Wadia Group, contributing significantly to brand revitalization at Bombay Dyeing and Britannia Industries, and also founded a manufacturing start-up, Mini Signs & Displays, which scaled rapidly under his leadership.
