Marlborough, Massachusetts, USA, June 2025 — Jennifer Kartono has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer at IPG Photonics, marking a significant addition to the leadership team of the global fiber laser technology leader. She brings over two decades of experience in strategic HR leadership across high-performing technology and industrial organizations.
Prior to joining IPG Photonics, Jennifer served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Crane NXT, where she led people and talent strategies during a period of organizational transformation and growth. Her work was instrumental in shaping culture, succession planning, and strategic workforce planning to support the business’s goals.
Earlier, Jennifer had a distinguished career spanning over 17 years at Iron Mountain, where she held several senior roles, culminating as Senior Vice President, People, Organizational Strategy & Culture. In this capacity, she played a key role in aligning organizational design with business priorities, leading M&A integration, and advancing executive leadership development globally.
Her earlier stints include pivotal roles at IONA Technologies (acquired by Progress Software), where she led global talent acquisition and HR business partnering, helping scale the organization internationally during critical phases of growth.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from the University of Denver, has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and Babson College, and is an alumna of the INSEAD LEAP Program. She is also a member of Chief, a private network dedicated to advancing women in executive leadership roles.
