Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2025 – Vijay Kumar has stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer at Amadeus, effective April 2025. His elevation comes as a testament to his outstanding contributions and expertise in financial management, and is accompanied by gratitude to Managing Director Sandeep Dwivedi for the trust and guidance extended to him. Vijay now looks forward to driving Amadeus’ growth in this expanded leadership capacity, strengthening the company’s financial foundation, and contributing to its strategic ambitions.
Prior to his appointment as CFO, Vijay served as Finance Controller at Amadeus, where he was instrumental in streamlining financial processes and enhancing operational efficiency. He played a pivotal role in risk assurance, compliance, and financial reporting during a period of transformation for the organization.
Vijay’s professional journey includes a key role as Controller at I Squared Capital, a US-based global infrastructure manager. Here, he led finance teams managing diverse investment entities across Asia, encompassing sectors such as roads, telecom, renewables, and data centers. He demonstrated expertise in treasury, capital management, regulatory compliance, and strengthening management information systems (MIS) across the portfolio.
Earlier, Vijay was General Manager – Finance at Actis LLP, a leading private equity firm, where he managed finance for multiple companies across India and Africa. His tenure saw him implementing global SOPs, streamlining reporting structures, and leveraging ERP systems for improved efficiency and compliance. He was recognized for innovations that positively impacted cash flow and profitability.
Vijay’s career foundation was built with experiences as Finance Manager at Convergys, Assistant Manager – Finance at Business Standard, and Partner at Raghu Nath Rai & Co., where he developed a strong grasp of corporate finance, audit, compliance, and taxation, serving marquee clients in print media and banking.
