Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, July 2025 – Rania Tannous has been appointed as the Chief Legal and People Officer at Rawson Group, taking on an expanded leadership role that now includes oversight of both legal affairs and people operations. This appointment reflects Rawson Group’s focus on integrating its corporate governance and human capital strategies to support sustainable growth and operational excellence across the business.
Rania joined Rawson Group in May 2024 as Executive General Counsel, bringing a wealth of legal expertise to one of the largest and most trusted homebuilders in NSW and ACT. In her new capacity, she now leads the company’s legal, compliance, and people functions, partnering closely with senior leadership to shape a values-driven, resilient organization.
Before joining Rawson, Rania served at AMP for over seven years, most recently as Head of Legal, Corporate & Commercial, where she led a team of specialists across M&A, corporate advisory, employment law, and strategic projects. She was a member of AMP’s Legal and Governance leadership team and also co-founded the company’s legal pro bono program. Her earlier roles at AMP included Senior Legal Counsel, where she also served as Graduate Champion and a strong advocate for women in leadership.
She has also held legal leadership roles at South East Water, Clearpoint Enterprises, AXA, and Carrick Institute of Education, gaining deep experience in corporate governance, acquisitions, strategic transactions, and compliance. Throughout her career, Rania has consistently championed purposeful leadership, operational integrity, and ethical decision-making.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Rania contributes to community engagement as Treasurer of St Pats Junior Rugby Club and has served on the In-House Pro Bono Steering Committee of the Australian Pro Bono Centre, further highlighting her commitment to social responsibility.
