Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Amit Mahla has joined JB Pharma as Executive Vice President, bringing with him over 25 years of deep experience in business transformation, strategy, and commercial leadership across India’s pharmaceutical sector. In this pivotal leadership role, he will spearhead strategic growth initiatives, drive operational excellence, and continue to embed a purpose-led, people-first culture as JB Pharma scales globally.
Before this appointment, Amit served as Vice President at JBCPL for over three years, where he contributed significantly to organizational growth and cross-functional alignment, focusing on strategic expansion and market leadership.
Earlier, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Innovcare Lifesciences, where he played a vital role in defining the company’s vision, aligning cross-functional goals, and mentoring business heads across functions. His impact included transforming business units, setting strong cultural foundations, and driving sustained profitability.
Amit has also made major contributions as SBU Head at Sun Pharma, where he successfully turned around a previously de-growing division into one of the highest-performing verticals, increasing productivity, reviving key brands, and driving specialty marketing in orthopedics and chronic therapies.
His earlier leadership roles include senior positions at Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Glenmark, Emcure, and a long and impactful tenure at Cipla, where he led the respiratory business to remarkable success and launched several blockbuster brands including Foracort and Montair LC. Across his career, Amit has consistently driven turnaround strategies, portfolio expansion, talent development, and go-to-market excellence.
Amit holds an Executive MBA in Marketing from SIES, Mumbai, and is known for his result-oriented leadership and transformational thinking.
