Fort Worth, Texas, United States, May 2026 – American Airlines has appointed Nicole Bonanno as Managing Director, Talent & Performance Management, where she will also serve as part of the company’s People Leadership Team.
Nicole joins the global aviation leader with more than two decades of experience spanning talent management, leadership development, organizational transformation, employee engagement, learning & development, and culture transformation. Her appointment reflects American Airlines’ continued investment in strengthening leadership capability, talent strategy, and people performance across the organization.
Before joining American Airlines, Nicole Bonanno served as Leadership Coach & Change Management Consultant at Cultiv8 Transformation Consulting & Coaching, where she advised organizations and leaders on leadership coaching, organizational development, culture transformation, change management, and executive capability building. Her work focused particularly on leadership development, team effectiveness, and helping organizations navigate transformation initiatives.
Most recently, Nicole also served as Director, Talent and Engagement at Memorial Hermann Health System, where she led talent management and engagement initiatives across the healthcare organization. During her tenure, she focused on strengthening leadership capability, talent development strategies, employee engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.
Earlier, she was Vice President of Learning and Development at MINT dentistry, where she led enterprise learning and development strategy and built foundational leadership and learning programs, including leadership development initiatives, coaching frameworks, and modern learning systems designed to support organizational growth and employee capability enhancement.
A significant portion of Nicole Bonanno’s career was spent with Bell Flight, where she held multiple progressive leadership roles over more than two decades. She served as Senior Director of Talent Management, officially leading Culture, Experience & Inclusion initiatives, where she expanded the talent management organization and strengthened diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Prior to that, she served as Director of Talent Management and Professional Training & Development Manager, leading high-potential programs, mentorship redesign initiatives, leadership development strategies, employee engagement transformation, and enterprise learning programs.
Her earlier tenure at Bell Flight also included progressive cross-functional roles in operations, program management, analytics, and organizational change management, helping build a strong foundation in strategic transformation and leadership effectiveness.
Across her career, Nicole has built extensive expertise in leadership coaching, organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, culture transformation, executive coaching, and enterprise learning strategy.
