Detroit, Michigan, United States, July 2025 – Melissa Horn has taken on an expanded leadership role as Vice President Human Resources, North America – Americas Business Region at FORVIA, overseeing the full human resources function across the North American business units. In this pivotal position, she is responsible for driving HR strategy, engagement, and people transformation for approximately 20,000 employees across multiple divisions.

Prior to her current role, Melissa Horn served as Vice President Human Resources for Faurecia Interior Systems – North America, part of FORVIA, where she led HR operations for a $1.5 billion business with around 8,000 employees across the US and Mexico. Over nearly four years, she implemented large-scale HR initiatives, enhanced workforce capability, and strengthened cross-border HR alignment in a rapidly evolving automotive environment.

Before joining FORVIA, Melissa held the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Gestamp North America, where she spent over four years leading regional HR strategy across the U.S. operations. Her focus was on building a robust HR infrastructure to support Gestamp’s manufacturing and R&D expansion in North America.

She also played an integral HR leadership role at Plastic Omnium, serving in multiple positions over a three-year period, including Acting Vice President of HR for the Americas, and HR Director for the U.S. and Talent Management. Her contributions spanned compensation and benefits design, talent development, and culture transformation across the Auto Inergy Division.

Earlier in her career, Melissa held progressively senior HR roles at Delphi, Android Industries, Donaldson Company, Inc., and Plastech Engineered Products, Inc. With a career spanning over two decades, she brings deep expertise in HR operations, talent acquisition, labor relations, organizational design, and employee experience, especially within the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
