Gurugram, Haryana, India, July 2025 — Sumit Agarwal has been elevated to the role of Executive Director | Management Consultant at PwC India, reinforcing the firm’s leadership strength in strategy and transformation advisory. With nearly 14 years of continued service at PwC, Sumit brings extensive expertise in business excellence, strategic planning, and project delivery across diverse sectors.
Prior to this elevation, Sumit served as Director at PwC India, where he played a critical role in driving key transformation engagements across industries, enabling tangible outcomes for clients in areas like M&A, operational efficiency, and digital strategy. His earlier stints at the firm include roles as Associate Director and Principal Consultant, where he was instrumental in embedding continuous improvement cultures, designing solutions, and mentoring talent through Six Sigma and lean methodologies.
Before PwC, Sumit worked as a Senior Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, specializing in metals and minerals. He also had international exposure as a Management Intern at Sanmina-SCI in Singapore, where he contributed to sustainability initiatives.
Sumit began his career at Ispat Industries Ltd, where over four years, he led a 25-member operations team, driving plant productivity improvements, cost optimizations, and quality excellence through TPM and lean manufacturing frameworks.
An alumnus of S P Jain School of Global Management, he holds an MBA in Product Marketing & Management. He also earned his B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, where he actively participated in varsity sports.
