Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, August 2025 – Sarah Horner has been appointed as the Vice President – Human Resources at National Business Furniture, joining the executive leadership team to drive HR strategy, corporate initiatives, and regulatory excellence. She will lead the HR function with end-to-end responsibility for recruitment, retention, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance — helping shape an empowered and high-performing workplace.
Before joining National Business Furniture, Sarah served as Vice President of Human Resources at Kalmbach Media for over seven years, where she collaborated closely with the CEO and senior leadership to steer the HR function through acquisitions, restructuring, and eventual company closure. In her final months with Kalmbach, she worked as an Independent Consultant – VP HR, overseeing wind-down activities, including benefits closures, 401(k) plan terminations, and final compliance reporting.
Earlier, she held the position of Human Resources Director at Kalmbach Media, where she partnered with senior leaders on business-aligned people initiatives. Her previous roles in the organization included HR Manager, HR Specialist, HR Representative, and HR Assistant, culminating in a remarkable tenure of over two decades, during which she gained deep institutional knowledge and developed a full-spectrum HR leadership profile.
Throughout her career, Sarah has demonstrated a strong command across all HR disciplines, including workforce planning, policy development, leadership consulting, and benefits administration. Her long-standing experience has contributed to building resilient and engaged workplace cultures in evolving organizational contexts.
