Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 — Abbott has announced the elevation of Manoj Gupta to Director – HR for Abbott Healthcare Pvt Ltd, India. Based at the company’s headquarters in BKC, Mumbai, Manoj will lead the organisation’s HR strategy, focusing on talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement to further strengthen Abbott’s position in the Indian healthcare market.
Manoj has been an integral part of Abbott for nearly 18 years, holding leadership positions across multiple business divisions. Most recently, he served as Associate Director – HR for the Medical Devices & Diagnostics India Region, where he played a pivotal role in driving organisational transformation, enhancing employee experience, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Earlier, he was Head Business HR for multiple therapy areas within the Medical Devices & Diagnostics division, in addition to serving as Senior Manager HR and Regional HR Manager for various verticals of the business. His contributions have been instrumental in building strong HR frameworks, promoting leadership capability, and aligning people strategies with business objectives.
Before joining Abbott, Manoj worked as Manager – Talent Acquisition at Piramal Healthcare, overseeing end-to-end recruitment processes for critical roles. He also served as Center Manager at Jetking Infotrain Limited, managing operations and training delivery.
Manoj began his professional journey with a distinguished 16-year tenure in the Indian Air Force, where he developed core leadership skills, operational excellence, and discipline while serving in diverse geographies including Bangalore, Srinagar, Agra, Bhuj, Pune, and Shillong.
