Manish Gour has been appointed as the Vice President & Head HR & Operational Excellence at Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Heavy Engineering Division.
This role marks a continuation of his distinguished career at L&T, where he has been serving since January 2024. Located in Hazira, Surat, this division stands at the forefront of engineering innovation and excellence.
His journey in the field of human resources and operational excellence spans over two decades, during which he has held several key positions that underscore his extensive expertise and leadership in these domains.
Prior to his current role, Gour served as the General Manager & Head – Human Resources and Operational Excellence at the same division of Larsen & Toubro Limited from February 2019 to December 2023. This position enabled him to hone his skills and contribute significantly to the division’s operational and HR strategies.
Before his tenure at Larsen & Toubro, Gour was a Non-Executive Director at Alstom Transport India Ltd. from August 2016 to January 2019. His responsibilities there included governance and strategic oversight, further enriching his leadership portfolio. Additionally, he managed the HR aspects of Alstom Transport India Ltd.’s Electric Locomotives Division & CSR in India, overseeing the Greenfield project of Electric Locomotives at Madhepura, Bihar, and maintenance depots at Saharanpur (UP) and Nagpur (MS), demonstrating his capability in managing complex industrial projects.
Gour’s professional journey also includes significant roles at Alstom India Ltd., where he served as Director of Human Resources, covering various aspects of HR leadership and management across global and local scales, including the Steam Global Mills and Boilers India division from April 2014 to February 2016. His earlier career phases include impactful roles at JCB India Ltd., SM Dyechem Ltd., and Foods Division, where he developed and implemented strategic HR initiatives that significantly contributed to organizational growth and employee engagement.
