Tampa, Florida, United States, September 2025 – Karen Greene, SPHR has been appointed as Vice President – Human Resources, Enterprise Risk Management & Safety at Tampa International Airport (TPA). In this newly assumed role, she is spearheading a comprehensive people strategy that emphasizes talent attraction, career development, safety, and a culture of inclusion—all in service of the airport’s mission to provide world-class air travel experiences while supporting community and economic growth.
Before joining TPA, Karen served as Global Vice President of Human Resources at Escalon Services, where she led the design and implementation of global HR strategies across a growing portfolio of over 25,000 client companies. Her focus was on building culture and leadership capabilities that could scale with rapid business growth across back-office functions such as HR, accounting, payroll, and compliance.
Prior to that, she held the position of Senior Advisor at livingHR, Inc., supporting client organizations as an interim HR executive. Her remit included cultural transformation, employee engagement, change management, organizational design, and executive coaching. Her work enabled clients to modernize HR structures and align people strategies with business priorities.
Karen also served as Chief People Officer at Schellman, a top 100 CPA firm focused on cybersecurity and compliance assessments. During her tenure, she developed a multi-year workforce strategy that supported the firm’s rapid expansion, built scalable systems through Workday HCM, and created internal promotion pathways to reduce attrition and enhance engagement.
Earlier, Karen held advisory and executive roles at HC Zones, McKinsey & Company (as Director, Global Firm Functions HR), and The Bank of Tampa (as SVP – Talent), where she drove large-scale HRIS transformations, developed DEI programs, and supported leadership development initiatives.
Her career also includes a distinguished tenure at PwC, where she spent over eight years in multiple HR leadership capacities including Director of Human Capital. She led global talent acquisition process redesigns, post-merger integration projects, and onboarding strategies that impacted over 40,000 hires annually.
Earlier in her career, Karen held key HR leadership roles at Hudson Global Resources, and began her journey at Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group as a Senior Associate in the Human Capital and Technology practice.
