Hyderabad, Telangana, India, September 2025 – Trouw Nutrition South Asia, a global leader in animal nutrition and feed innovation, has announced the appointment of Uttam Routh as Director Human Resource India. In his new role, Uttam will lead the HR function for India operations, driving people strategy, leadership development, and organizational capability building to align with Trouw Nutrition’s mission of “Feeding the Future.”
Uttam Routh brings with him over three decades of diverse experience in human resources, business operations, and organizational transformation. Known for his strategic vision and deep understanding of people systems, he has been instrumental in building agile, high-performing cultures across energy, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.
Prior to joining Trouw Nutrition, Uttam served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources at SunSource Energy, where he led people strategy for one of India’s leading renewable energy companies. Over his two-year tenure, he implemented initiatives in leadership development, succession planning, and workforce engagement that strengthened SunSource’s organizational foundation during a phase of rapid expansion.
Before his role at SunSource, Uttam had an exceptional 26-year journey with SUPERGAS (SHV Energy Pvt. Ltd.), where he grew through multiple roles, ultimately serving as Director – Human Resources. Over the years, he played a pivotal role in driving HR excellence through cultural transformation, leadership pipeline building, and operational efficiency programs. His contributions were key in shaping SUPERGAS into a people-driven organization with strong governance and talent sustainability.
Earlier in his career, Uttam worked with Vadilal Chemicals Limited and Hindustan Packaging Co. Ltd., where he gained valuable experience in project execution, operations, and people development, forming the early foundation of his multifaceted leadership approach.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, where he earned his Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (PGCHRM), Uttam also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from B.K. School of Professional and Management Studies, Ahmedabad. His blend of technical, operational, and HR expertise has consistently enabled him to create impactful HR strategies that drive both business and people growth.
