Overland Park, Kansas, United States, September 2025 – TreviPay has appointed Matthew Hazlett as its new Vice President Human Resources. In this role, Matthew partners with the CFO, executive team, and senior leaders to design human capital, talent management, and organizational strategies that fuel business growth and employee productivity. He also serves as an ambassador for TreviPay’s People and Culture initiatives, driving inclusivity, performance excellence, and employee engagement across the organization.
Matthew joins TreviPay after more than nine years at H&R Block, where he advanced through several senior leadership positions in People & Culture. Most recently, he served as Director, Corporate Business Partner, International IT, leading a global team supporting IT in the U.S., India, and Ireland. He advised six vice presidents on workforce strategies, managed compensation planning and succession development, and oversaw key performance management processes.
Earlier roles at H&R Block included Director of People & Culture Operations and HR Business Partner, where he partnered with up to 21 vice presidents across corporate functions and ensured ethical compliance, pay equity, and talent development strategies.
Before H&R Block, Matthew built a strong foundation at PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc., where he spent over 16 years in HR and operations leadership. As Regional HR Business Partner, he directed HR strategy for 156 stores and 3,000 employees, led EEOC mediations, and implemented national programs to improve business performance. He previously held roles as District Manager, Regional HR Representative, Regional Trainer, and General Manager, demonstrating a deep understanding of HR operations, compliance, training, and workforce development.
Alongside his corporate career, Matthew served as an Instructor at the University of Phoenix Online for over 16 years, teaching MBA and undergraduate courses in business, HR, and retail management.
Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix, equipping him with advanced expertise in organizational leadership and people strategy.
