Charleroi, Walloon Region, Belgium, September 2025 — Jan-Willem de Groot has started as Chief Financial Officer at Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA), Belgium’s second-busiest passenger airport. He will steer group finance, capital allocation, and performance to support BSCA’s growth, punctuality leadership, and sustainability agenda.
Most recently, Jan-Willem was CFO Benelux at SERIS Group (Brussels), leading finance across security services and technology-enabled solutions and driving margin, controls, and transformation across a 2,000-employee regional business.
Before that, he served at KONE Belgium & Luxembourg as Delivery Operations Director and earlier Finance Director (Leadership Team member), covering finance, customer service, fleet, sourcing, and modernization project delivery—recognized with a Finance Transformation award in 2019.
Earlier career highlights include senior leadership across DHL (CFO Netherlands, CFO Canada, Managing Director Netherlands, Director Global Controlling, and HQ finance roles managing global reporting/FP&A) and a PwC foundation, plus interim CFO work at SINH Building Solutions and budget committee chairmanship at the European Lift Association (ELA)—building deep expertise in multisite operations, turnarounds, and large-scale P&L stewardship.
