London, United Kingdom, September 2025 — Simon Telfer has started a new position as Chief Technology Officer at Shearwater GeoServices.
He has been with Shearwater GeoServices for over nine years, most recently serving as SVP, Processing and Imaging, where he led transformation initiatives and advanced the company’s imaging capabilities. Prior to that, he was Onboard Processing Manager at Shearwater, overseeing operational processing onboard vessels.
Earlier, Simon worked with Dolphin Geophysical as Onboard Processing Manager, gaining significant offshore operational experience. Before that, he held several positions at CGG/CGGVeritas, including Onboard Processing Supervisor – Geophysical Advisor, Team Leader, and Senior Geophysicist.
He began his career at Gardline Geosciences as a Seismic Processor, where he built a strong technical foundation in seismic data processing.
