County Dublin, Ireland, September 2025 – McCann FitzGerald LLP, one of Ireland’s premier law firms, has appointed Mairead Cullen as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In her new role, Cullen will be responsible for driving the firm’s technology strategy, ensuring innovation and operational excellence across its legal and business services.
Cullen joins McCann FitzGerald LLP after a distinguished 28-year tenure with Vodafone, where she most recently served as IT Director (CIO) for Vodafone Ireland. Over her years at Vodafone, she held multiple senior leadership positions including CIO, Head of Billing and CRM Business Transformation, Head of Fixed Access and Convergence – Technology, and Regional Head of Network Development for the UK & Ireland. She began her journey with Vodafone as a GSM Engineer and rose through the ranks to become one of the company’s most experienced technology leaders.
Alongside her executive career, Cullen has made significant contributions as a Non-Executive Director at .ie since April 2025 and as a Board Member at Kinia since 2021, supporting education and digital skills initiatives. Previously, she served on the Board of SIRO for five years, helping shape Ireland’s fiber broadband rollout, and as a Non-Executive Director at ESCCU Credit Union Ltd.
Her career demonstrates a consistent commitment to digital transformation, network development, and technology-enabled growth, coupled with governance experience across multiple industries.
