Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 2025 — Laila Al-Faifi has been appointed as Head of Human Resources – KSA & MENA at Groq. In her new role, she will lead the HR function across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region, driving organizational development, talent strategy, and people engagement to support Groq’s rapid business growth in the AI and cloud infrastructure sector.
Laila joins Groq after serving as Human Capital Development Sr. Director at Vision Invest, where she played a pivotal role in building and strengthening human capital frameworks to support business transformation and sustainable growth. She was instrumental in advancing leadership development initiatives and embedding a people-first culture across the organization.
Prior to Vision Invest, she was Human Resources Manager at THE RIG., where she supported the launch and scaling of this innovative megaproject in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. She led HR operations, talent acquisition, and strategic workforce planning, positioning HR as a key enabler of the organization’s ambitious vision.
Earlier, Laila spent over nine years with Baker Hughes in multiple HR leadership roles. As Talent Acquisition Lead – Saudi Region, she spearheaded large-scale hiring initiatives and strengthened employer branding. She also held positions as University Recruitment & Relations Lead for Saudi & North Gulf, and Global HR Business Partner – Drilling Services, where she managed HR strategy for critical business segments and global teams.
She began her career with the Shoaibi Group, where she rose from HR Coordinator to Group HR Manager, gaining hands-on experience in HR operations, compliance, payroll, policy development, and executive-level advisory support. These early years provided her with a strong foundation in managing HR across diverse industries and geographies.
