Kolkata, West Bengal, India, October 2025 – The Chatterjee Group (TCG) has announced the appointment of Mousumi Roy Bose as Vice President – Human Resources. In her new role, she will lead HR strategy, organizational transformation, and leadership development initiatives across the Group’s diversified business portfolio, which spans petrochemicals, life sciences, biotechnology, IT & ITES, and financial services.
With nearly two decades of experience in human resources and business leadership, Mousumi Roy Bose brings a strong track record of driving people strategy, culture transformation, and employee engagement across India’s leading financial and insurance organizations.
Before joining The Chatterjee Group, Mousumi served at Reliance Nippon Life Insurance as Vice President – Human Resources and Zonal HR Head – East for almost four years. She managed end-to-end HR functions across multiple states, focusing on talent acquisition, leadership development, engagement, and compliance. Her initiatives included digital onboarding, employee wellness programs, and succession planning frameworks, which significantly strengthened organizational capability and retention.
Prior to that, she worked with Exide Life Insurance as Regional HR Head – East, overseeing HR strategy for 38 branches and 700+ employees across eight states. She led strategic programs in leadership development, employee engagement, and performance management, and drove region-wide compliance and culture initiatives that aligned HR with business goals.
Earlier, Mousumi spent more than a decade at DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance, where she grew through multiple roles from Deputy Manager to Zonal Manager – HR (Central Zone). She played a pivotal role in building robust HR operations, implementing major engagement and training programs, and partnering with leadership to strengthen people strategy and business alignment.
She began her career with Max New York Life Insurance, Reliance Capital Asset Management, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, and Hutch, where she built foundational expertise in customer service, operations, and HR administration.
A certified HR professional, Mousumi has completed an Executive Development Programme in Human Resource and Talent Management from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s most prestigious management institutes.
