Vaud, Switzerland, October 2025 – QuantWare, a global leader in scalable quantum computing technology, has announced the appointment of Jean-Pierre Pennacino as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s global financial strategy, governance, and capital planning as QuantWare scales its breakthrough VIO 3D quantum processor architecture and expands its international footprint.
Before joining QuantWare, Jean-Pierre Pennacino served as Group Chief Financial Officer at MedAlliance Swiss Medical Technology for six years. At MedAlliance, he played a critical role in strengthening the company’s global financial governance, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and enabling operational excellence across its international markets.
Earlier, Jean-Pierre worked with WISeKey Group, a publicly listed cybersecurity and Internet of Things (IoT) company, where he held dual roles as Chief Operations Officer and Advisor to the CEO and CFO. During his tenure, he led multiple growth and integration projects, driving cross-functional coordination across sales, R&D, and marketing while strengthening investor relations and organizational agility.
Previously, he served as Group CFO at Groupe Ecore, where he managed finance and back-office teams of over 120 professionals. He was instrumental in the company’s turnaround, leading cost restructuring, ERP implementation, refinancing initiatives, and operational process redesign to enhance reliability and performance.
Jean-Pierre also spent nearly six years at STMicroelectronics, where he held the position of Group VP Finance for Central and Northern Europe. He was responsible for the financial oversight of regional R&D and marketing operations across eight countries, and he managed financial aspects of a $3 billion M&A project, including tax and legal entity restructuring.
Earlier in his career, Jean-Pierre gained valuable experience at Biosite, Gemplus, and Motorola (Freescale), where he led international finance, accounting, and project management teams, implementing large-scale systems such as SAP and Hyperion. His foundation in financial leadership was built during his early years as an Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), where he managed diverse clients across financial and industrial sectors.
