Singapore, October 2025 — Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced the appointment of Joon Tan as Vice President – Human Resources Strategy, Innovation, Communications & Sustainability. In this strategic global role, Joon will lead Schneider Electric’s HR transformation initiatives, focusing on innovation, communication, and sustainability as key pillars in advancing the company’s people strategy and culture of excellence.
Joon has been a part of Schneider Electric for over eleven years, contributing to several critical global HR mandates. Her elevation reflects the company’s continued commitment to embedding sustainability and innovation into every aspect of its workforce strategy while fostering purpose-driven leadership and employee engagement.
During her tenure at Schneider Electric, Joon most recently served as Vice President, HR Global Marketing, where she was responsible for designing and executing the people strategy for the global marketing function. She partnered closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership to attract, retain, and upskill talent—preparing teams to meet the demands of a fast-evolving digital and customer-centric landscape.
Before that, she served as Vice President, Talent & Learning – International Operations, overseeing the talent development and learning agenda for sales and commercial teams across East Asia, Japan, Pacific, India, Middle East & Africa, and South America. Her leadership helped drive large-scale talent transformation, ensuring consistent capability building across Schneider Electric’s international footprint.
Earlier, she was Vice President, Talent Management – Global Supply Chain, where she co-created the talent agenda for the global supply chain organization, implementing global mentoring programs, young talent initiatives, and mobility frameworks that strengthened leadership pipelines and enhanced global collaboration.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Joon held leadership roles at Mercer, where she served as Partner and Global Lead for the High-Tech Industry, managing HR solutions and business growth across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Earlier, she spent six impactful years at Dell Technologies, serving in various leadership roles including Ethics and Compliance Director and HR Director for product development, procurement, and supply chain functions. Her early career included serving as Regional HR Business Partner at Intel Technology Asia, where she managed HR operations and strategic workforce initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.
With more than three decades of experience across global technology and consulting firms, Joon has established herself as a transformative HR leader, known for driving innovation, inclusion, and strategic alignment between business and people agendas.
