Perth, Western Australia, November 2025 – South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) has officially announced the appointment of Emma Davies as its new Executive Director Transformation.
Emma has been acting in the position since October 2024 and brings with her more than 20 years of experience in public health across Western Australia, underpinned by a strong foundation in both clinical and strategic leadership.
A respected leader within the health system, Emma has built her career around improving health care outcomes, with extensive experience in strategy, policy, clinical service redesign, and health reform. Her work has spanned multiple domains, including emergency care, outpatient services, access management, and elective surgery reform.
In her new capacity, Emma will continue to drive transformation initiatives across SMHS, leading efforts to enhance clinical performance, patient experience, and operational efficiency. Her deep system understanding and collaborative approach make her a vital asset to the organization’s vision of delivering excellent health care, every time.
