New York, United States, November 2025 — Maly Bernstein has been appointed as the new Chief Commercial Officer at Bath & Body Works, joining the organization at a pivotal moment in its consumer experience and multi-channel growth journey. Set to begin her role on the 12th of November, she brings an impressive background across beauty, retail, omnichannel strategy, and brand transformation, making her a strategically important addition to the executive leadership team. Her appointment reinforces the brand’s commitment to strengthening customer experience, accelerating growth, and deepening emotional connection with its global consumer base.
Immediately preceding this role, Maly Bernstein served as the Chief Executive Officer of Bluemercury under Macy’s, where she led the transformation of one of America’s most recognized luxury beauty retailers. Over her four-year tenure, she shaped a modernized omnichannel experience, amplified consumer engagement, and strengthened brand positioning across retail and digital platforms. Her leadership contributed meaningfully to Bluemercury’s evolution into a high-touch, experiential beauty brand.
Before her CEO role, she spent nearly eight years at CVS Health, where she held influential positions including Vice President, E-Commerce & Omni, and Vice President & Merchandise Manager for Beauty and Personal Care. Across these responsibilities, she played a central role in building CVS’s beauty portfolio, enhancing digital buying journeys, and bringing product innovation to scale. Earlier in her career, she spent over five years at McKinsey & Company, where she advanced to Associate Principal. Her consulting experience equipped her with the strategic, analytical, and operational foundation that has shaped her leadership approach in retail and beauty. This period built her expertise in large-scale transformation, organizational strategy, and customer experience optimization across multiple sectors.
Her professional journey began with consulting experience at Deloitte, followed by her role as Director of Non-Fiction at Indigo in Toronto.
