Jonathan Paul has been announced as the new Managing Director, Head of Private Capital Markets & Private Investors Group, APAC for BNP Paribas.
This prestigious role, based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, marks a new chapter in Paul’s illustrious career in the financial sector.
Jonathan Paul brings to BNP Paribas a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success from his previous tenure at J.P. Morgan, where he served as the Executive Director, Head of Private Capital Markets, APAC. During his time at J.P. Morgan, from July 2021 to September 2023, Paul demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in navigating the complex landscape of private capital markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to his role at J.P. Morgan, Paul was a Director in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse, stationed in Hong Kong SAR, from January 2014 to July 2021. His tenure at Credit Suisse was marked by significant contributions to the equity capital markets sector, enhancing the firm’s presence and operations within the region. Jonathan Paul’s career also includes positions at J.P. Morgan as an Associate in Asset Management and at Credit Suisse as an Associate in Investment Banking, TMT, further solidifying his background in financial services and investment banking.
