Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, November 2025 — Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, a global leader in specialty chemicals, has announced the appointment of Rohit Saxena as Senior Director. With a rich background spanning over two decades in discovery chemistry, process R&D, CDMO operations, and innovation management, Rohit brings a distinctive blend of scientific depth and leadership acumen to his new role.
At Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Rohit will lead the R&D function, driving initiatives across CDMO for pharma, microbial control solutions (MCS), and agrochemicals. His responsibilities include building R&D competencies, ensuring safety and compliance, fostering innovation-driven talent development, and achieving strategic research milestones.
Prior to this appointment, Rohit spent over a decade with PI Industries Ltd, where he served as Deputy General Manager – Research Chemistry, leading process R&D, route optimization, and large-scale synthesis of active ingredients and intermediates. His contributions advanced molecule discovery, IP generation, and non-patent-infringing process design, strengthening the organization’s innovation and sustainability capabilities.
Previously, Rohit held senior scientific roles at Jubilant Drug Discovery & Development, Jubilant Chemsys, and Jubilant Biosys Limited, where he supported collaborations with global partners such as Merck US and led multiple discovery programs from hit identification to pre-clinical candidate selection. His work on chemokine receptor antagonists and CYP inhibitors contributed significantly to new molecular entity development in hypertension and inflammatory bowel disease.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Advinus Therapeutics (a Tata Enterprise), Chembiotek Research International, and the National Botanical Research Institute, gaining foundational experience in medicinal chemistry, NCE synthesis, and SAR-driven research. A lifelong learner, Rohit recently completed the Emerging Leaders Program (MDP) at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, further strengthening his leadership and strategic management expertise.
