Calgary, Alberta, Canada, November 2025 — Nick Walden has taken on the role of Vice President & Area Manager at Modern Niagara, marking a major milestone in a distinguished career spanning nearly two decades with the organisation. His deep operational leadership, extensive field experience, and strong track record of delivering high-performing results have positioned him to lead Modern Niagara’s regional operations with excellence and impact.
Immediately before this appointment, Walden served for almost one year as Director of Operations at Modern Niagara in Calgary, where he oversaw regional performance, operational planning, and project delivery across multiple large-scale assignments. His leadership contributed significantly to enhancing operational quality and strengthening internal capabilities.
Prior to that, he spent approximately four years as Operations Manager, Calgary, taking responsibility for end-to-end project delivery, financial performance, workforce planning, and customer satisfaction across the Calgary region. In this role, he cemented his reputation as a dependable and strategic leader capable of driving operational consistency and excellence.
Earlier, Walden served for more than five years as Manager, Special Projects Division, where he oversaw complex project scopes that required technical coordination, agility, and innovative problem-solving. His work in this capacity accelerated his growth as a leader with strong cross-functional command.
Before entering management, he spent nearly four years as a Project Manager, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects aligned with Modern Niagara’s standards of safety, quality, and client focus. This period deepened his understanding of field operations and project execution.
Walden’s journey began more than fifteen years ago as a Project Coordinator and later as an Estimator across the Toronto region. These foundational roles gave him a ground-level understanding of preconstruction, estimating, and early project phases—knowledge that shaped his long-term effectiveness and leadership within the organisation.
