Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Dr. Puneet Kaur Kohli has taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Generali Central Life Insurance, marking a major milestone in her distinguished career across insurance, financial services, telecom, and global technology. She brings a rare blend of digital strategy, engineering rigor, operational leadership, and enterprise-wide technology transformation expertise. At Generali Central Life Insurance, she will be responsible for strengthening the company’s digital core, accelerating innovation, enhancing enterprise resilience, and driving technology-led value creation at scale.
Immediately prior to this role, Dr. Puneet served at Liberty General Insurance in dual mandates as President – Information Technology & Data and President – Chief Information & Technology Officer. Over her multi-year tenure, she led large-scale modernization including cloud adoption, DevOps integration, enterprise security architecture, full-stack engineering capability building, and the creation of a fully digital customer journey. Her work significantly advanced Liberty’s technology maturity, speed-to-market, and digital competitiveness.
Before Liberty, she served as Chief Technology Officer at Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd., where she drove high-impact digital and data engineering programs, strengthened cloud infrastructure, and expanded the organization’s technology footprint across more than 50 emerging and legacy systems. Her contributions included building AWS capabilities, mobile and UI modernization, digital incubation, and analytics integration using advanced platforms.
Her earlier leadership roles include serving as CTO & CIO at Manappuram Finance Limited, where she shaped the digital transformation across the end-to-end value chain — from customer experience and cloud adoption to AI-driven capabilities, security governance, and disaster-recovery architecture. Prior to that, she was Group Executive Vice President – IT & CTO at Bajaj Capital Ltd, where she led enterprise technology strategy, IT governance, infrastructure modernization, and system integration across a multi-site financial services organization.
In her formative and mid-career years, Dr. Puneet held several influential regional and global roles including Director – IT Infrastructure & Service Operations (APAC) at Motricity, COO & Global CIO at SOMA Networks, Hub CIO at Bharti Airtel, APAC CIO & Global Director – IT at Carrier Aircon, and Senior Manager – IT Operations & Network at BSES (Reliance) Ltd./Accenture. These roles shaped her expertise in cloud engineering, telecom IT, network operations, global service delivery, large-scale digital transformation, and strategic technology architecture.
