Tampa, Florida, United States, November 2025 – FSC Franchise Co., the Tampa-based multi-brand restaurant group behind Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, The Brass Tap, and Newk’s Eatery, has appointed John Massari as its new Chief Financial Officer. This strategic leadership addition comes as FSC accelerates its next phase of national growth and franchise development across its portfolio of more than 280 locations in 27 states.
John Massari brings nearly 30 years of experience in restaurant finance, including 25 years at Bloomin’ Brands, where he supported major brand initiatives such as market expansions, brand revitalization, and international growth. Most recently, he served as CFO of Artistry Restaurants, where he played a central role in scaling the private-equity-backed restaurant group to six brands and nearly 50 locations through acquisitions.
Massari’s connection to FSC is both professional and personal. Growing up in Tampa, he’s long admired the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s brand and views this role as a full-circle opportunity to drive meaningful impact.
“Beef ‘O’ Brady’s was a brand I grew up with in Tampa,” he shared. “This was a great opportunity to help take FSC to the next level.”
In his first months, Massari will focus on strengthening FSC’s financial infrastructure, implementing systems to support continued franchise expansion, and refining the company’s financial model to ensure profitability and scalability. A key part of his approach is maintaining a franchise-first mindset, working closely with franchise partners to develop systems that drive operational success and long-term sustainability.
“We want our franchises to be successful, for them to make money and for them to want to continue to build new restaurants,” said Massari. “We’re here to listen to their needs and jointly develop the best businesses to make them successful.”
His broad experience with brands across all growth stages—from emerging concepts to mature chains—will guide FSC as it evolves its menu strategy, tech stack, and supply chain operations in alignment with franchisee feedback and market demands.
Massari also sees FSC’s multi-brand structure as a unique competitive advantage, enabling the company to serve diverse customer occasions ranging from casual dining and sports pubs to fast casual and craft beverage experiences.
“We’ve got a great portfolio of synergistic brands that meet a range of needs for our customers across many different occasions,” he said.
With a mission centered on 100% franchisee success, FSC’s leadership believes Massari’s appointment is a vital move in advancing the company’s vision of scalable, community-driven restaurant growth.
