Deerfield, Illinois, United States, February 2026 – Cindy Carlisle has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Baxter International Inc., reporting to Chief Executive Officer Andrew Hider. She will be based at Baxter’s headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois.
Cindy brings more than 25 years of global HR leadership experience across medical technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, retail, and high-tech industrial sectors. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Foot Locker, where she redesigned the HR operating model, strengthened global talent capabilities, and supported major enterprise transformation initiatives across a 45,000-employee global workforce.
Before Foot Locker, Cindy held senior enterprise HR leadership roles at Stryker, including Group Vice President, Human Resources, Global Quality and Operations, leading HR for a 20,000+ employee global supply chain organization across 45+ sites. She earlier served as Vice President, Talent Management & Corporate HR, driving succession, engagement, diversity and inclusion, and enterprise talent strategy.
Her experience also includes leadership roles at Roche, where she served as Vice President, Human Resources, North America Commercial, and more than a decade of progressive global HR and integration roles at Johnson & Johnson. Cindy began her career at General Electric, building strong foundations in finance, auditing, and Six Sigma leadership—experience that continues to shape her data-driven, operationally rigorous HR approach.
Cindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s degree in Adult and Technical Education from Marshall University.
In her new role at Baxter, she will lead the global human capital strategy for approximately 38,000 team members worldwide, serving as a key member of the executive leadership team and strategic advisor on enterprise transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
