Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, December 2025 – Sathish Poovazhagan has taken on the position of Director – Human Resources at Straive, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing association with the organization. Known for his strong people-first approach and his ability to build collaborative, high-performing teams, this appointment reflects his deep contribution to Straive’s people and culture journey over the years.
In his current role as Director – Human Resources, Sathish Poovazhagan is responsible for leading Straive’s HR strategy at a global scale, aligning people practices with business transformation priorities across data, analytics, and AI-driven services. His elevation follows a steady progression within the organization, reflecting trust in his leadership and strategic HR capabilities.
Before this role, he served as Assistant Director – Human Resources at Straive for around two years, where he played a key role in strengthening HR governance, leadership enablement, and talent systems. Prior to that, he spent close to seven years as Senior Manager – Human Resources, contributing to workforce scaling, performance management, and organizational effectiveness during a phase of sustained growth.
Earlier in his career, Sathish Poovazhagan was associated with SPi Technologies, where he worked as Manager Human Resources and Deputy Manager Human Resources, building hands-on expertise across HR operations, employee relations, and talent management within a dynamic services environment.
He began his HR journey with Laserwords, where he held progressive roles including Human Resources Executive, Senior Executive – Human Resources, and Assistant Manager – Human Resources over several years. These formative experiences laid a strong foundation in HR generalist responsibilities, recruitment, and people operations.
Sathish Poovazhagan holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources (MA – HR) from Madras School of Social Work, one of India’s most respected institutions for HR and social sciences education.
