Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, December 2025 — Jacquie Shuker has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), where she will lead the organisation’s people and culture agenda, organisational development, and leadership capability as LIC continues to advance its innovation-led growth strategy in agritech and herd improvement.
In her most recent role, Jacquie Shuker has served as People and Culture Director at Lion New Zealand, where she has been responsible for shaping people strategy across complex, large-scale operations. Her work has spanned engagement, talent, inclusion and diversity, people services, and major transformation initiatives, supporting productivity and long-term value creation across New Zealand and Australia.
Prior to this, she held senior People & Culture Director responsibilities with Lion in Australia, leading people and change programmes across supply chain and enterprise operations. Her leadership during portfolio transformation and divestment initiatives demonstrated her ability to align people strategy with commercial outcomes while sustaining cultural strength.
Earlier in her career, Jacquie held significant global HR leadership roles at Fonterra, where she served as General Manager Human Resources – Global Ingredients, driving engagement, succession planning, leadership development, and global HR business partnering. She also built strong foundations in organisational development and talent management through roles at Alcatel-Lucent, Frucor Beverages, BT, and Telstra, gaining cross-sector and international exposure across New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Alongside her executive career, Jacquie brings strong governance and advisory experience, including board and consulting roles, further strengthening her perspective on people leadership and organisational stewardship.
Jacquie Shuker holds a Master of Management in Human Resources, a Bachelor of Applied Science, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Banking from Massey University, underpinning her expertise in organisational development, leadership capability, and change management.
