Atlanta, Georgia, United States, December 2025 — Nicholas Haughey has started a new position as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, marking a significant progression in his long-standing career with the firm. In this role, he will continue to advise clients on complex financial, operational, and value-creation challenges, drawing on deep expertise across private equity, transaction advisory, and business transformation.
In his new role as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, Nicholas Haughey builds on more than a decade of leadership within the firm, where he has played a critical role in supporting private equity sponsors and portfolio companies through high-impact financial and strategic engagements.
Immediately prior to this appointment, Nicholas served as Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, following earlier roles as Director, where he partnered closely with senior executives and investors on value creation initiatives, performance improvement, and transaction execution across multiple industries.
Earlier in his career, he spent over three years as Vice President of Finance at DexYP, where he led finance transformation, strategic planning, and operational finance initiatives within a complex, high-change environment.
Nicholas previously held leadership roles at Alvarez & Marsal between 2008 and 2016, including Director and Manager – Private Equity Services, supporting buy-side and sell-side engagements, carve-outs, and operational turnarounds. He began his professional journey at Ernst & Young, where he worked within Transaction Advisory Services and audit functions, building a strong foundation in financial analysis, diligence, and advisory services.
Nicholas Haughey holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza College of Business, equipping him with strong technical and analytical grounding to support complex advisory mandates.
