Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, December 2025 – Akash K J has taken on a new leadership role as Head of Talent Acquisition at Saint-Gobain Group in India. In this role, he is spearheading the establishment of the Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Saint-Gobain India, driving the vision for a unified and future-ready hiring ecosystem across all business entities. He is accountable for designing standardized, technology-driven recruitment processes, strengthening employer branding, enhancing candidate experience, and building a pan-India Talent Acquisition community to foster collaboration, capability building, and continuous innovation in hiring practices.
In his current appointment at Saint-Gobain Group in India, Akash K J is shaping a national-level talent acquisition strategy through the creation of a CoE, implementing integrated recruitment frameworks, and building collaborative talent communities to support Saint-Gobain’s growth priorities across India.
Prior to this role, he spent close to two years as Head of Human Resources at Saint-Gobain Weber India, where he was part of the management committee developing the Mortars business in India. His responsibilities covered strategic HR leadership, talent development and succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits structuring, employee relations, diversity and inclusion initiatives, HR technology implementation, and governance across compliance and policy frameworks.
He earlier held the position of Head of Human Resources & Administration (Regional IT & Indec 4.0) at Saint-Gobain India Private Limited – Glass Business, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the Indec 4.0 Development Center, building organizational culture, stabilizing HR policies, and acting as a functional expert in digital transformation for HR.
Earlier in his career, Akash K J progressed through multiple HR leadership and specialist roles within Saint-Gobain India, including assignments in digital transformation, learning and development, IT HR, and sales, marketing & exports HR functions—building deep domain expertise in business partnering, HR analytics, capability development, and organizational effectiveness. His professional foundation was strengthened through HR internships at Bajaj Auto Ltd., Minda SAI Ltd., and Radisson Blu.
