Chicago, Illinois, United States, January 2026 — Cara (Eickholt) Fixler has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at GCM Grosvenor, strengthening the firm’s executive leadership as it continues to scale its global alternative asset management platform. In this role, Fixler will lead the firm’s people strategy, supporting talent, culture, and organisational effectiveness across its international footprint.
Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Cara (Eickholt) Fixler served as Head of Americas Human Resources at LaSalle Investment Management, where she spent nearly eight years leading the HR strategy across the Americas region. Her responsibilities spanned talent management, compensation design, organisational design, DEI initiatives, employee relations, and compliance for a large, multi-country workforce supporting significant assets under management.
Before LaSalle, Fixler held senior HR leadership roles at AbbVie, including Senior Manager, Talent Management – US Commercial and Senior Manager, Human Resources – Corporate Finance. In these roles, she partnered closely with senior and executive leaders, driving enterprise talent strategies, leadership development, succession planning, and organisational change initiatives across complex global functions.
Earlier in her career, she served as HR Manager, Sales & Marketing at GE Capital and held multiple HR leadership roles within GE Power & Water and GE Energy, supporting large, geographically dispersed teams in regulated and transformation-driven environments. Her experience during this period included workforce planning, organisational restructuring, incentive design, and leadership development.
Fixler’s professional foundation also includes HR roles at Honeywell, Doherty Employment Group, and CIGNA Behavioral Health, providing her with broad exposure across corporate, industrial, financial services, and healthcare environments.
