Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, January 2026 — Dean Summlar has taken on a new role at Schneider Electric as Global Vice President – Human Resources, Home Solutions Business. In this role, Dean will lead the global people agenda for the Home Solutions business, supporting organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, and talent strategy aligned with Schneider Electric’s sustainability-led growth ambitions.
Dean has been with Schneider Electric for over 11 years, bringing deep institutional knowledge and global HR leadership experience into this expanded role. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Talent Management & Learning – International, where he led talent and learning strategy across 90 countries, shaping leadership development, succession planning, and global capability building at scale.
Prior to that, Dean held the role of Vice President HR & Chief of Staff – Pacific Zone, based in Sydney, where he partnered closely with regional leadership on people strategy, workforce transformation, and executive governance across the Pacific region.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Dean built strong foundations in HR leadership across the UK. He spent over five years at Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, including as Senior HR Business Partner – Workforce Solutions, where he led workforce strategy, talent acquisition, HRIS, employee relations, and workforce planning in a large, multi-site healthcare organisation.
Earlier in his career, he held multiple people leadership roles at Marks and Spencer, including National People Policy Specialist, Regional HR Manager, and Regional Training Manager, gaining extensive experience in employee relations, policy governance, and large-scale people development in a complex commercial environment.
With this appointment, Dean is well positioned to drive a high-performance, future-ready people strategy for Schneider Electric’s Home Solutions business globally.
