With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in financial services, Remond brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of strategic leadership and innovation to his new role at Northern Trust.
His career has been marked by significant leadership roles across major financial institutions, specializing in investment management and banking services. Remond’s expertise is expected to greatly enhance Northern Trust’s operations and service offerings in Luxembourg, where the company provides a comprehensive range of fund administration, depositary, and global custody services.
Before joining Northern Trust, Remond was a Co-Founder at LIOR Global Partners, a macro asset management business he helped to establish in Monte Carlo, which focuses on sustainable investment solutions integrated with ESG principles. Prior to that, he spent over two decades at State Street, where he was CEO of State Street Banque S.A. and Head of Investment Management Solutions for EMEA. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving the strategic development of investment services and enhancing operational efficiency across Southern Europe and the Middle East.
Earlier in his career, Remond held significant roles at Deutsche Bank and Clearstream, managing client relationships, operations, and risk across various markets. His experience also includes executive positions at Credit Lyonnais, where he was involved in financial control and securities management.
