Pune, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Dipesh Shah has started a new role as Digital Chief Technology Officer at Thermax Limited, marking a significant leadership appointment as the organisation accelerates its digital and technology-led transformation agenda.
In his new position, Dipesh Shah is responsible for leading enterprise-wide digital, technology, cloud, data, and cybersecurity initiatives at Thermax. His mandate focuses on operating at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution—partnering closely with business leaders to modernise technology platforms, build resilient and secure ecosystems, and leverage emerging technologies to deliver measurable business value while developing future-ready technology leadership.
Prior to joining Thermax, Dipesh Shah spent over four years at Blue Star Limited, where he served as General Manager – Information Technology. During this tenure, he led large-scale initiatives across IT infrastructure, cloud-first strategy, network modernisation, and information security, contributing to enterprise transformation across manufacturing units and corporate operations. He earlier held the role of Deputy General Manager – Information Technology at the company, further strengthening IT governance, service delivery, and security operations.
Before Blue Star, he was Vice President – IT Applications & Infrastructure at EDUSPARK International Private Limited, where he played a key role in IT governance, cloud migration, ERP and LMS platforms, and large-scale infrastructure deployment across multiple school locations. His work included driving cost efficiencies, improving system reliability, and strengthening IT audit and governance frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Dipesh Shah spent over seven years with Tishman Speyer as Deputy General Manager – IT, leading Oracle ERP implementations, data centre operations, and nationwide IT infrastructure management. He also held long-term roles at Mastek Ltd, where he progressed as a Project Manager, gaining deep experience in enterprise application development, infrastructure management, ITIL practices, and program governance. His early career includes technology and project leadership roles with Fits Express India Pvt Ltd and InComm Technologies Pvt Ltd.
Dipesh Shah holds an MBA in Systems from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, which has complemented his extensive hands-on experience across digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise technology leadership.
With more than two decades of experience spanning infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, and large-scale digital transformation, Dipesh Shah’s appointment is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening Thermax’s digital backbone and supporting its global growth and energy transition objectives.
