Baku, Azerbaijan, January 2026 — Birmarket, Azerbaijan’s leading e-commerce marketplace, has announced the appointment of Farid Islamov as its new Chief Growth Officer.
In his new role, Farid Islamov will drive Birmarket’s growth agenda, with a focus on scaling customer acquisition, strengthening retention strategies, expanding loyalty-led engagement, and accelerating business performance across the fast-growing marketplace ecosystem. His appointment comes at a time when Birmarket continues to expand its customer and partner base, supported by a strong team of over 1,500 professionals.
Before joining Birmarket, Farid Islamov served for over one year as Chief Loyalty Officer at Bir Ecosystem, where he led the loyalty strategy and operations for a multi-platform loyalty program, driving customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value across the ecosystem.
Prior to that, he spent nearly eight years at Kapital Bank, holding several leadership roles including Chief Retail Business Officer, Customer Value Management Office Head, and senior positions in customer lifecycle management, consumer experience, and data analytics. During this period, he developed strong expertise in product-led growth, customer value management, and data-driven business strategy.
Earlier in his career, Farid built a strong foundation over nine years at Azercell Telecom LLC, where he worked in the Consumer Business Unit as a Business Intelligence Expert, and also contributed through roles in Treasury and Customer Relations—experiences that strengthened his understanding of consumer behavior, analytics, and commercial operations.
