Doha, Qatar, June 2025 – Sana Abbas has begun her new role as Vice President Human Resources at Doha Petroleum Construction Co. W.L.L (DOPET), marking an important step in the company’s people strategy. In this capacity, she will lead HR initiatives, drive organizational transformation, and strengthen talent management as DOPET continues its leadership in the Qatari oil and gas sector.
Before this appointment, Sana served as Administrative Director at DOPET for over three years, where she played a pivotal role in policy formation, performance management, and aligning HR processes with business needs. Her hands-on approach and business alignment were key to driving people development, succession planning, and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) integration across the company.
Earlier, Sana was a Human Resources Specialist at AlfaNet in Doha, building her expertise in recruitment, executive search, and end-to-end talent management. She further honed her skills as a Human Resource Recruiter at Emirates NBD in Dubai, successfully handling full-cycle recruitment and vendor management in a dynamic banking environment.
Sana’s HR journey began with roles as Human Resource Administrator at Accenture and HR Coordinator at HCL Technologies in India, where she developed strong foundations in HR operations, policy implementation, and employee relations. Her academic credentials include an MBA in Human Resources Management from Jamia Millia Islamia and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
