New York, New York, United States, January 2026 — Moelis & Company has appointed Matt Stuart as Vice President, Talent Acquisition | Human Capital Management, further strengthening its leadership within the firm’s human capital and people strategy function.
In his new role, Matt Stuart will be responsible for leading talent acquisition initiatives across Moelis & Company, supporting the firm’s continued growth by attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier talent across global markets. His mandate includes aligning recruitment strategy with business priorities while enhancing employer branding and hiring excellence across functions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Matt served as Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition at CAIS, where he led enterprise-wide hiring efforts at the fintech platform known for democratizing access to alternative investments for independent financial advisors. During his tenure, he supported rapid organizational growth while strengthening recruitment processes across technology, product, and commercial teams.
Before CAIS, Matt held the role of Vice President of Talent Acquisition at HPS Investment Partners, now part of BlackRock, where he played a key role in scaling talent acquisition for one of the world’s leading alternative credit and private capital investment firms.
Earlier in his career, Matt spent over four years at Morgan Stanley, progressing through roles including Senior Recruiter – Private Wealth Management, Recruiting Team Lead – Wealth Management, and Talent Acquisition Manager, supporting large-scale hiring across wealth and asset management businesses. He also previously worked as an Executive Recruiter – Asset & Wealth Management at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and as a Direct Recruiter at Barclays, building a strong foundation in financial services recruitment.
With more than a decade of experience across global investment banks, asset managers, and financial technology firms, Matt brings deep expertise in executive hiring, workforce planning, and strategic talent leadership to Moelis & Company.
