Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, January 2026 — The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has appointed Saloni Mehta as Director of People & Culture. In her new role, Saloni will lead the property’s people strategy, talent development, employee engagement, and cultural excellence initiatives, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to exceptional service and workplace culture.
Saloni brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, with a strong track record of implementing transformative human capital strategies across marquee hospitality brands in the Middle East and India. She is widely respected for building high-performing teams, driving engagement-led cultures, and aligning people practices with business excellence.
Most recently, Saloni served at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi, where she held the role of Director of Human Resources after progressing from Human Resources Manager. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening employee relations, engagement frameworks, and housing excellence initiatives, earning internal recognition for sustained people-first practices.
Prior to this, she worked with Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, where she handled cluster-level responsibilities spanning talent planning, HR marketing, and employer branding across multiple Marriott-managed properties in Dubai. Her earlier experience includes serving as Learning Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, the brand’s pioneering property in India, where she led learning, engagement, and community initiatives that contributed to service excellence and cultural consistency.
Saloni began her career with Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris, progressing from management trainee to leadership roles in operations and learning & development. She later held training and learning leadership positions with JW Marriott and other luxury hospitality brands, building deep expertise in capability development, leadership training, and employee experience.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Christ University, Bangalore, and has developed her career through extensive hands-on leadership exposure within globally respected luxury hospitality organizations.
