Washington, DC, United States, January 2026 — Dragos, Inc. has appointed Dawn Mitchell as Chief People Officer, strengthening its executive leadership as the company continues to scale its global mission to safeguard critical infrastructure through advanced operational technology (OT) cybersecurity.
In her new role, Dawn Mitchell will lead Dragos’ global people strategy, overseeing talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and culture as the company expands its workforce to support customers across industrial and critical infrastructure sectors worldwide.
Most recently, Dawn served as Chief People Officer at HackerOne, where she led the people function for the world’s leading hacker-powered security platform. During her tenure, she supported the company’s continued growth by aligning talent strategy with business objectives, strengthening leadership capabilities, and fostering a people-first culture in a highly technical, security-driven environment.
Prior to HackerOne, Dawn held progressive senior leadership roles at Appian, including Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources. At Appian, she partnered closely with executive leadership to scale global HR operations, build strong employer branding, and advance talent acquisition, total rewards, and HR business partnering during periods of rapid growth.
Earlier in her career, Dawn built deep expertise in talent acquisition and analytics through leadership roles at Opower and Red Hat, where she led global recruiting teams, workforce planning initiatives, and diversity-focused hiring strategies across North America and international markets.
In addition to her executive leadership roles, Dawn currently serves as an Advisor at PeopleTech Partners and has been actively involved in board and advisory positions with Happyly, contributing her expertise in employee engagement, wellbeing, and future-of-work solutions.
