Joydeep Roy Appointed as Partner – Human Capital at PwC India

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 – Joydeep Roy has taken on a new role as Partner – Human Capital at PwC India, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career spanning over two decades in human resources leadership. In this role, he will continue to drive strategic human capital initiatives, enabling business growth, talent transformation, and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to this elevation, Joydeep Roy served as Managing Director – Human Resources & Talent Supply Chain Leader at PwC India, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s people strategy. He led large-scale talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives, while driving a strong culture of learning, inclusion, and high performance.

During his tenure at PwC India, he also held leadership responsibility for Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Global Mobility, partnering closely with business leaders to align HR strategies with revenue growth, profitability, and talent outcomes. His work focused on enhancing organizational capability through structured workforce planning, performance management frameworks, and leadership pipeline development.

Before joining PwC, he was associated with Ernst & Young as Associate Director – Human Resources, where he supported large business units across Assurance, Tax, and Advisory, driving HR transformation initiatives and people strategy execution across multiple locations.

Earlier in his career, he held key HR leadership roles at NIS Sparta, Larsen & Toubro, and Tata Communications, building strong expertise in performance management, leadership development, organizational design, and talent strategy. His early career foundations at BOC Gases further strengthened his capabilities in HR operations and strategic workforce planning.

Joydeep Roy holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management (PGDPM) in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Social Service, a premier institution known for developing HR leaders in India.
