Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2026 — PepsiCo has appointed Rahul Jain as Global Vice President – Strategy & Transformation, where he will lead initiatives focused on Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, and Decision Engineering. This appointment reflects PepsiCo’s continued emphasis on leveraging advanced technologies to drive data-led decision-making and enterprise-wide transformation.
In his new role, Rahul will be part of the Strategy & Transformation unit, leading the integration of AI into business intelligence systems and decision frameworks to enhance agility, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage across global markets .
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Rahul held senior leadership roles at GE Digital, where he served as Vice President of Software Engineering – Manufacturing Digital, leading large global teams of over 350 professionals and driving the development of Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions. His work contributed to achieving leadership recognition in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Manufacturing Execution Systems.
He also served as Vice President of Software Engineering – Grid Energy, where he led digital transformation initiatives, managed large-scale product development programs, and drove cloud-first strategies, microservices architecture adoption, and DevOps transformation across engineering teams.
Earlier, Rahul held key leadership roles at GE Oil & Gas, including Chief Information Officer – Subsea Production Systems & Sub-Saharan Africa Region, where he led digital transformation initiatives, implemented machine learning solutions, and drove significant cost optimization and productivity improvements through IoT-enabled innovations.
He also served as Senior Director & CIO – Sub-Saharan Africa Region, where he led IT strategy for a multi-billion-dollar business, overseeing ERP transformations, regional digital strategies, and market expansion initiatives.
Rahul began his career at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, where he worked in engineering and product lifecycle management, building a strong technical foundation that later evolved into enterprise technology leadership.
With a career spanning engineering, digital transformation, and large-scale enterprise leadership, Rahul brings deep expertise in AI-driven transformation, cloud-native architecture, SaaS platforms, and data-led decision systems.
