Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 2026 — Sandoz has announced the appointment of Christine Chong as Country Head for Malaysia & Singapore, marking a significant leadership move as the organization strengthens its presence in Southeast Asia’s evolving healthcare landscape.
Christine brings with her a strong track record of commercial leadership across Asia, with deep expertise in navigating complex healthcare markets and driving sustainable growth. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for the industry, where access, affordability, and innovation are becoming increasingly critical to patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Sandoz, Christine held multiple senior leadership roles at Sanofi, most recently serving as Pharma Country Head for Malaysia & Singapore, where she managed a portfolio exceeding €90 million and led strategic direction across multiple therapeutic areas. Alongside this, she also served as Franchise Lead for ASEAN & India MCO, driving regional strategy and brand growth.
Her tenure at Sanofi also included roles such as Head of Established Products Business for Hong Kong & Taiwan, where she led a €100 million portfolio across oncology, anti-infectives, CNS, and hypertension, as well as Diabetes Sales Director for Taiwan, where she supported performance transformation initiatives.
Earlier, Christine served as Business Unit Director for Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore, managing the diabetes portfolio, and as Commercial Excellence Director, where she drove business expansion, capability building, and operational optimization across Southeast Asia markets.
Before Sanofi, she held leadership roles at Roche as Commercial Excellence Director Malaysia, and at Merck, where she served as Business Unit Director and Commercial Excellence Director, contributing significantly to business growth, market access strategies, and commercial transformation.
With extensive experience across multinational pharmaceutical organizations, Christine is known for her ability to bridge global strategy with local execution, ensuring that business growth aligns closely with patient needs and healthcare system priorities.
