Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 – Anup Thomas has been elevated to the position of Partner at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey within the firm.
This elevation reflects his consistent contributions to governance, risk, and advisory services, as well as his role in strengthening client relationships and building high-performing teams across engagements.
Prior to becoming Partner, Anup Thomas served as Executive Director at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, following progressive leadership roles including Director and Associate Director, where he worked closely with clients on governance frameworks, enterprise risk management, internal audits, and process transformation initiatives.
During his tenure, he has played a key role in enhancing delivery efficiencies, driving business development, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within teams.
Before joining Grant Thornton Bharat, he worked with EY as a Manager – Risk Advisory Services, where he led engagements across governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), internal audits, and enterprise risk management.
Earlier, he held a leadership role at Northern Trust Corporation as an Audit Leader – APAC Audit Services, managing complex global audits and strengthening control environments.
He began his journey with Grant Thornton India LLP and Walker Chandiok Grant Thornton Private Limited, building deep expertise in internal audit, corporate governance, and risk advisory. He also worked with Hewlett Packard as a Financial/Cost Analyst, gaining early exposure to financial planning and analysis.
